Burning Man is like survival camp for artists who burn things. Hundreds of people drive to the middle of a dry lake bed hauling food and water for a week and anything else that tickles their imagination. Just about everyone participates, by dressing up in costume, demonstrating skills or talents or displaying artwork. The photos I and my friends took represent the tip of the strange goings on. At the end of the week, a huge stick man and just about anything else that can be ignited are burned. (Garrett almost found that out the hard way when someon lit the hay bale he was resting on. ) |
